Martian Manhunter, also known as J'onn J'onzz, is a DC Comics character appearing in The CW's Arrowverse, primarily in the series Supergirl. He is portrayed by David Harewood.
J'onn is the last Green Martian, his entire race having perished on Mars due to a devastating plague. He arrived on Earth centuries ago, using his shapeshifting abilities to disguise himself as Hank Henshaw, a deceased DEO agent. He took Henshaw's place to observe humanity and protect Earth from threats.
As Hank Henshaw, he became the Director of the DEO, working alongside Supergirl. He mentors Kara Danvers, offering guidance and support as she learns to control her powers and navigate her life as a superhero. He possesses a wide range of powers including telepathy, telekinesis, shapeshifting, flight, and Martian vision.
