Black Lantern Martian Manhunter is a corrupted, undead version of J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, brought into existence during the "Blackest Night" event in DC Comics.
Following his death and desecration of his remains by the Crime Syndicate from a parallel Earth, a Black Power Ring chose his corpse, reanimating it as a member of the Black Lantern Corps.
As a Black Lantern, J'onn possessed all of his original powers, including telepathy, telekinesis, shapeshifting, and Martian vision. However, these abilities were now fueled by black energy and used to inflict emotional pain on the living, drawing strength from their despair.
His primary goal, like all Black Lanterns, was to extinguish all life in the universe by preying on the emotional connections of heroes and villains alike. He focused on targeting those who had strong ties to the original J'onn J'onzz, exploiting their grief and guilt.
Ultimately, like many Black Lanterns, he was defeated by the combined efforts of various heroes and the manipulation of the emotional spectrum, severing his connection to the Black Ring and allowing his remains to finally rest.
