Usagi Tsukino, better known as Sailor Moon, is the main protagonist of the Sailor Moon anime series. She first appeared in the anime adaptation of the manga, premiering March 7, 1992.
Usagi begins as a seemingly ordinary, albeit clumsy and emotional, junior high school student. She soon discovers her destiny as Sailor Moon, a magical warrior tasked with protecting Earth from evil forces.
As Sailor Moon, Usagi possesses incredible powers, including the ability to transform using a magical brooch and battle enemies with energy-based attacks. She leads the Sailor Guardians, a team of fellow warriors, in their fight against various threats throughout the series. Over the course of the series, Usagi matures and evolves into a powerful and courageous leader, embracing her responsibilities as Sailor Moon and eventually as Neo-Queen Serenity in the future.
