Sailor Moon, also known as Usagi Tsukino, is the central protagonist of the Sailor Moon anime series. She first appeared in the anime adaptation of Sailor Moon, which premiered in 1992.

Usagi begins as a clumsy and crybaby teenager who discovers she is destined to be Sailor Moon, a magical warrior tasked with protecting Earth from evil forces. Initially reluctant, she gradually embraces her destiny and develops into a brave and powerful leader.
