Gamora, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, is a key character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Orphaned as a child, Gamora was adopted and raised by Thanos, becoming his deadliest assassin. She was trained rigorously and cybernetically enhanced, earning her the title of "the deadliest woman in the galaxy."
Gamora eventually defected from Thanos's service, seeking to atone for her past actions and prevent him from acquiring the Infinity Stones. She joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, forming a close bond with Peter Quill (Star-Lord) and others.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos to obtain the Soul Stone. However, a different version of Gamora from an alternate timeline appeared in Avengers: Endgame, eventually remaining in the main MCU timeline. This version of Gamora, unfamiliar with the events and relationships established by her original counterpart, rejoined the Guardians.
