Gamora, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, is a central character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Guardians of the Galaxy films.

First appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), she is the adopted daughter of Thanos. Initially, she served as his enforcer, known for her exceptional combat skills and deadly reputation, earning her the moniker "the deadliest woman in the galaxy."

However, Gamora eventually defects from Thanos's service, horrified by his genocidal plans. She joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, becoming a key member and fighting alongside them to protect the universe. Her complex past and troubled relationship with her adoptive sister, Nebula, are recurring themes throughout her story arc.
