Biography:
Toxin is the name of multiple characters in the Marvel Universe. Most notably, Toxin is a symbiote, like Venom and Carnage, first appearing in Venom/Carnage #1 (2004).
The Toxin symbiote is a spawn of Carnage and is considered the most powerful of the symbiotes. Initially bonded to NYPD officer Patrick Mulligan, Toxin struggled to control the symbiote's violent tendencies. Mulligan attempted to use Toxin for good, fighting crime and attempting to contain its impulses.
Later, Eddie Brock, formerly Venom, bonded with the Toxin symbiote, becoming a more villainous version of the character. The Toxin symbiote has incredible strength, speed, and durability, along with shapeshifting abilities similar to Venom and Carnage. Some incarnations of Toxin are known to secrete the chemical Noxious.
