Henry "Hank" McCoy, designated Beast, is a character from Marvel's Ultimate Universe. He is a brilliant geneticist and biochemist who was, like his Earth-616 counterpart, one of the founding members of the Ultimate X-Men.
In this reality, Hank's transformation into a beast-like creature isn't a gradual process. Instead, he experiments with a volatile mutant growth hormone, hoping to enhance his own intellect further and better understand the mutant genome.
