Brock Rumlow, better known as Crossbones, is a formidable villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Initially introduced as a STRIKE agent working under Captain America's command, Rumlow harbors secret allegiances.
His first appearance as Crossbones is in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), where he's injured during the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He returns in Captain America: Civil War (2016) seeking revenge against Captain America.
In *Captain America: Civil War* he targets Captain America leading to a chaotic battle. His actions accidentally trigger an explosion that results in the death of numerous Wakandan civilians and is considered the inciting incident for the Sokovia Accords.
Portrayed by Frank Grillo in the MCU, Crossbones is a ruthless mercenary, loyal to Hydra and driven by vengeance.
