The Foot Soldiers are the primary antagonists in many iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise. They are typically depicted as the ninjas of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization led by the Shredder.
Their first appearance in the TMNT cartoon was in the episode "Turtle Tracks," which aired in December 1987 as part of the first season of the show.
In the original cartoon, the Foot Soldiers were robotic drones, easily defeated by the Turtles. However, in other versions, like the comic books and some of the movies, they are often portrayed as skilled human ninjas.
Regardless of their composition, Foot Soldiers are generally depicted as numerous, easily replaceable, and fiercely loyal to the Shredder, posing a constant threat to the TMNT.
