The Arkham Asylum Guard, often identified online by the number 'Guard', is a minor character appearing in the 2009 video game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. He represents one of the many security personnel tasked with maintaining order and control within the infamous psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane.

While not a central figure in the narrative, the Guard's presence is vital in establishing the atmosphere of danger and unease within Arkham Asylum. He is one of many guards tasked with keeping the villains under lock and key when the Joker stages a coup of the prison.

The character is usually seen patrolling the hallways or manning security checkpoints, occasionally interacting with other guards or inmates. His depiction is intended to portray the ordinary, often overwhelmed, individuals who are placed in extraordinarily dangerous situations, highlighting the vulnerability of human staff in the face of the asylum's more powerful and unpredictable residents.
