Dr. Curtis "Curt" Conners, a brilliant biologist, is a Marvel Comics character most known for his tragic transformation into the Lizard.
Conners served as a U.S. Army surgeon who lost his right arm during wartime. Driven by the desire to regenerate limbs, he dedicated his research to reptilian limb regeneration.
He developed a serum derived from reptile DNA and, desperate for a solution to his own missing arm, injected himself. The serum successfully regrew his arm, but it also transformed him into a monstrous, reptilian humanoid - the Lizard.
As the Lizard, Conners is driven by primal instincts and a desire to transform humanity into reptilian beings. He is a recurring villain, battling Spider-Man frequently.
Conners perpetually struggles to control the Lizard, his intellect battling the primal aggression unleashed by the serum. He is a tragic figure, representing the dangers of unchecked ambition and the unintended consequences of scientific pursuit.
