The Ringwraiths, also known as Nazgûl, are formidable figures in Middle Earth. They first appear in *The Fellowship of the Ring*, as shadowy horsemen relentlessly pursuing Frodo Baggins and the One Ring.
Originally, they were nine mortal men, kings, sorcerers, and warriors, who were ensnared by Sauron and his Rings of Power. These rings granted them immense power and extended their lifespans, but at the cost of their free will. They became completely subservient to Sauron, bound to his will and existing in a twilight state between the visible world and the unseen realm.
Mounted on fearsome steeds or winged beasts, the Ringwraiths are Sauron's most terrible servants. Their primary purpose is to hunt down the One Ring and return it to their master. Their very presence instills terror and weakens the resolve of their enemies.
The LEGO version of a Ringwraith, identified by the set designation *PG8036*, is typically represented as a black-robed minifigure, often with a hood obscuring their face, reflecting their spectral appearance.
