Biography:

Nathaniel Essex, better known as Mr. Sinister, is a recurring villain in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the X-Men. He is a brilliant but amoral Victorian-era scientist who, obsessed with evolution and genetic mutation, transformed himself into a being of immense power and longevity.

Mr. Sinister is characterized by his advanced intellect, mastery of genetic engineering, and various superhuman abilities including telepathy, telekinesis, and shapeshifting. He often manipulates events from behind the scenes, driven by his scientific curiosity and a desire to create the perfect mutant.

Mr. Sinister's first appearance was in Uncanny X-Men #221 (1987).
