Biography:

Flying Monkeys are characters most famously associated with the Wicked Witch of the West in the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. These winged primates serve as her aerial minions, carrying out her orders and terrorizing the land of Oz. They are depicted as fierce and loyal to the Witch, posing a significant threat to Dorothy and her companions.

A notable appearance beyond the original film is in The Lego Batman Movie. In this animated film, the Flying Monkey is one of the many villains recruited by the Joker to wreak havoc on Gotham City. Although a less prominent character than in The Wizard of Oz, he adds to the chaotic ensemble of antagonists.
