Namorita, also known as Rita, is a Marvel Comics character first appearing in Sub-Mariner #50 in 1972. She is a clone of Namora, who is a cousin of Namor the Sub-Mariner.
Created by scientists in Atlantis, Namorita possesses similar powers to Namor, including super strength, the ability to fly, and aquatic adaptation. She is able to withstand the crushing pressures and frigid temperatures of the deep ocean, as well as breathe underwater.
Namorita has been a member of various superhero teams, most notably the New Warriors. She can be impulsive and headstrong, but is a dedicated hero. Although originally pink skinned like her "mother" Namora, she becomes blue skinned later in her history.
