Namorita, often referred to as "Namorita Prentiss," is a prominent character within Marvel Comics. She is a clone of her mother, Namora, who is a cousin to Namor the Sub-Mariner. This Atlantean heritage grants Namorita similar abilities, including superhuman strength, durability, the power of flight, and aquatic adaptation.

Introduced in the 1960s, Namorita began as a relatively naive and youthful hero. She frequently assisted Namor in his various adventures, often acting as his impulsive protégé. As she matured, she gained a more independent and confident personality, eventually joining teams such as the New Warriors.

A pivotal event in her history involved an encounter with Nitro which led to an explosion that killed her and hundreds of citizens. This event served as the catalyst for the first "Civil War" storyline in Marvel Comics, profoundly impacting the superhero community and shifting Namorita's legacy.
