God Mars, also known as Six God Combination God Mars, is the central character of the anime series of the same name. The series premiered in 1981.
Mars was born on Mars as a powerful esper with the potential to destroy Earth. He was sent to Earth as a baby within a robotic sphinx, guarded by robots that took on the form of his six guardian robots, Gaia, Sphinx, Uranus, Titan, Shin, and Ra.
Raised as Takeru Myojin on Earth, he's unaware of his Martian origins and destructive potential until faced with challenges that awaken his abilities and the protective robots. God Mars is formed when Takeru merges his spirit with Gaia, and the other five robots combine with Gaia.
