Biography:
Regan MacNeil is a fictional character best known for her horrifying possession in the horror film, The Exorcist (1973). She first appears as a seemingly normal, sweet 12-year-old girl living with her actress mother, Chris MacNeil, in Washington D.C.
As the film progresses, Regan begins exhibiting increasingly disturbing behavior, including violent outbursts, speaking in strange voices, and displaying immense strength. These symptoms are initially attributed to psychological issues, but medical professionals are baffled by her condition.
Ultimately, Chris MacNeil seeks the help of two Catholic priests, Father Damien Karras and Father Lankester Merrin, who conclude that Regan is possessed by a demonic entity. The priests then attempt to exorcise the demon, leading to a terrifying and iconic battle between good and evil.
