Biography:
Cindy Moon, also known as Silk, is a Marvel Comics character originating from Earth-616, the primary Marvel Universe continuity. She is a Korean-American woman who gained spider-powers after being bitten by the same radioactive spider that empowered Peter Parker.
First appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Vol. 3) as part of the "All-New Marvel NOW!" initiative, Cindy was locked away for years to protect her from Morlun and the Inheritors, beings who hunt spider-powered individuals.
Upon her release by Peter Parker, Cindy adopts the Silk identity and becomes a superhero in her own right. She possesses similar powers to Spider-Man, including superhuman strength, speed, agility, and a spider-sense (called "Silk-Sense".) She also has organic webbing and enhanced memory recall.
