Biography:
Mon-El, also known as Valor, is a DC Comics superhero originating from the planet Daxam. Daxamites are descendants of Kryptonians, giving Mon-El similar powers to Superman under a yellow sun, including super strength, flight, and invulnerability.
His origin story involves crash-landing on Earth and being discovered by Superman, who initially believed him to be his brother. Due to Daxamites' vulnerability to lead, Mon-El was poisoned and placed in the Phantom Zone for his own safety. He remained there for a thousand years.
Mon-El was eventually freed from the Phantom Zone by the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th century. He became a core member, adopting the name Valor and fighting for justice alongside his teammates. He has also been a key character in various Superman storylines and more recently portrayed in the TV series, Supergirl.
