Red Robin is a superhero identity primarily associated with Tim Drake in the DC Comics universe.
Tim Drake first appeared as Robin in *Batman* #442 (1989) and later adopted the Red Robin persona. After he leaves Batman, Tim goes out on his own. He believes Bruce Wayne is still alive, and sets out to find him. He uses the Red Robin alias to further his investigation.
As Red Robin, Drake seeks to establish his own identity apart from Batman and prove himself as a capable detective and leader. He eventually rejoins the Batman Family while maintaining the Red Robin name.
