Red Robin is a superhero identity adopted by multiple characters in DC Comics, most notably Tim Drake. He first appeared as Red Robin in Batman #655 (2006) during the "Batman & Son" storyline; however, this was a short-lived, alternate reality version of the character.

The more recognizable Red Robin debuted in the "Red Robin" storyline beginning in Batman #674 (2008) and launching into his own self-titled series in 2009. Tim Drake, initially the third Robin, adopted the Red Robin persona after Bruce Wayne's apparent death. Driven by his belief that Bruce was still alive, Tim used the Red Robin moniker to symbolize his independent pursuit of Batman's potential return.

The Red Robin costume is usually depicted as a variation of the Robin suit, featuring a red and black color scheme. He is known for his exceptional detective skills, strategic mind, and technological prowess, using these abilities to operate effectively as a solo hero and within team settings like the Teen Titans and Young Justice.
