Yoda is a legendary Jedi Master in the Star Wars universe, renowned for his wisdom, mastery of the Force, and diminutive stature. He first appeared in the film *Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back* (1980) where he trained Luke Skywalker. His speech pattern is characterized by inverted syntax, a grammatical structure unique to him.

For centuries, Yoda served on the Jedi Council, guiding the Jedi Order through numerous conflicts and crises. He was instrumental in training generations of Jedi Knights, shaping the Republic's defense against the dark side. His skill in lightsaber combat is exceptional, despite his age and size.

During the Clone Wars, Yoda held the rank of Grand Master, leading the Jedi forces alongside other prominent Jedi. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire and the extermination of the Jedi Order, Yoda went into exile on the swamp planet Dagobah, remaining there until Luke Skywalker sought him out.
