Red Tornado is a superhero from DC Comics. He first appeared in *Justice League of America* #64 (August 1968).
Originally, Red Tornado was an android created by the supervillain T.O. Morrow to infiltrate the Justice Society of America. However, a sentient air elemental merged with the android, giving it sentience and control over wind.
Red Tornado became a hero, joining the Justice League and fighting alongside them against various threats. He has gone through many iterations and retcons throughout the years.
