Biography:

Hope Summers is a significant character within the X-Men corner of Marvel Comics. She is a mutant born in the wake of M-Day, an event where the Scarlet Witch decimated the mutant population.

Hope is considered the "mutant messiah" due to being the first mutant born after the decimation, leading many to believe she holds the key to mutantkind's future. She possesses the ability to mimic and control the powers of other mutants around her, making her exceptionally powerful.

First appearing in X-Men #205 (2008), Hope was raised by Cable (Nathan Summers) in the future, who protected her from those who sought to control or destroy her.

Her return to the present day sparked conflicts and alliances among various factions, all vying for Hope's favor or seeking to exploit her abilities. She has been a member of the X-Men and played a pivotal role in restoring the mutant population.
