Balrog, also known as M. Bison in Japan, is a fictional professional boxer in the Street Fighter video game series. He first appeared in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (1991) as one of the four Grand Masters, powerful non-playable opponents.

Balrog is characterized by his aggressive fighting style and single-minded pursuit of wealth. He is portrayed as a ruthless and corrupt individual, having been banned from professional boxing due to his unethical tactics. He is often shown wearing boxing gloves and trunks, his design reflecting his boxer archetype.

In the storyline, Balrog is often associated with Shadaloo, M. Bison's criminal organization. He serves as one of Bison's enforcers, using his boxing skills to carry out the organization's schemes. Despite his loyalty, Balrog is primarily motivated by personal gain, often seeking opportunities to enrich himself.
