Beta Ray Bill is a powerful, noble alien warrior in the Marvel Universe, hailing from the Korbinite race. He first appeared in *Thor* #337 (1983).
Chosen as the protector of his people, Bill was transformed into a cyborg-like being physically capable of enduring the harsh conditions of space. During an encounter, he proved worthy enough to wield Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, granting him Thor's powers.
Odin, acknowledging Bill's worthiness, had a new hammer, Stormbreaker, forged for him, giving him similar power and abilities as Thor. Beta Ray Bill has since become a staunch ally of Thor and Asgard, fighting alongside them against numerous cosmic threats.
