Annihilus is a powerful villain from Marvel Comics, known for his role as the ruler of the Negative Zone. He first appeared in Fantastic Four Annual #6 (November 1968).
Born on the planet Arthros, Annihilus discovered a crashed spaceship and used its technology, including the Cosmic Control Rod, to extend his lifespan and enhance his power. The Cosmic Control Rod is the source of much of Annihilus' power, allowing him to manipulate energy and matter.
Annihilus is driven by an extreme desire for self-preservation and believes all life threatens his existence. This leads him to launch waves of destruction into our universe, most notably the Annihilation Wave, which devastates entire galaxies.
He is a formidable opponent, possessing immense strength, durability, and energy projection abilities. Annihilus has clashed with numerous Marvel heroes, including the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and Nova.
