Biography:

The Prowler is a Marvel Comics character primarily associated with Spider-Man. The original Prowler is Hobart "Hobie" Brown, a disgruntled window washer with a knack for engineering. Frustrated with his dead-end job, he designs a technologically advanced suit to commit burglaries, intending to turn himself in later and be seen as a reformed hero.

Hobie's plans are complicated when he encounters Spider-Man. After a brief fight, Spider-Man convinces Hobie to abandon his criminal path. Hobie then chooses to become a hero using his suit. His first appearance was in The Amazing Spider-Man #78 (November 1969).

Over the years, various other characters have taken on the mantle of the Prowler, including Aaron Davis. The Hobie Brown version has often reappeared, sometimes as an ally to Spider-Man and other heroes.
