Biography:

Prowler is a Marvel Comics character, primarily associated with Spider-Man. There have been multiple iterations of the Prowler, but the original and most well-known is Hobie Brown. Hobie was introduced as a young, brilliant inventor who, frustrated with being laid off from his job, decides to use his engineering skills to become a burglar.

His first appearance was in *The Amazing Spider-Man* #78 (November 1969). Wearing a technologically advanced suit, he called himself the Prowler. However, a chance encounter with Spider-Man led Hobie to re-evaluate his choices.

Hobie subsequently abandoned his criminal activities and instead became an ally to Spider-Man, sometimes even impersonating him to throw off suspicion. Over the years, he's continued to use his technological expertise for good, working as a hero, inventor, and security consultant.
