The Minecraft Witch is a hostile mob in the popular sandbox video game, Minecraft. She first appeared in version , an update that significantly expanded the game's bestiary.

Witches are easily identifiable by their distinctive appearance: They wear a purple robe and a pointed hat, stereotypical of witches in popular culture. They also have a prominent green wart on their nose.

Their primary attack method involves throwing various harmful potions at the player, including potions of poison, slowness, weakness, and instant damage. They are also known to drink potions of healing when injured, making them somewhat challenging to defeat.

Witches are commonly found in swamp biomes, often residing in small huts built on stilts. They can also spawn during raids in villages. Upon death, they may drop various useful items, including glowstone dust, sugar, spider eyes, and empty glass bottles, all of which are key ingredients for brewing potions.
