Laval is a key protagonist in the Lego Legends of Chima series. He is a Lion, the prince of the Lion Tribe, and son of King Lagravis. He is often depicted wearing light armor and a cape, signifying his role as a brave and agile warrior.

Initially presented as a carefree and adventurous youth, Laval matures throughout the series, taking on increasing responsibilities as he confronts the threats facing Chima. His close friendship with Cragger, the Crocodile prince, is central to the beginning of the conflict, with their falling out triggering much of the initial strife.
