Laval is a central character in the Lego Legends of Chima theme, first appearing in the initial wave of sets and the accompanying TV show in 2013.

He is a young Lion prince and a member of the Lion Tribe. Loyal and brave, Laval is destined to be a leader and is known for his strong moral compass and commitment to justice.

Laval's character arc revolves around his friendship with Cragger, which deteriorates due to the conflict over Chi, the life force of Chima. He often wields a sword and protects his tribe from various threats throughout the series. One notable iteration of the character is Laval in Heavy Armor, featuring a cape, which appears in set 70010.
