Biography:
Glóin is a Dwarf of Durin's folk from Middle Earth, known for his participation in the Quest of Erebor. He first appears in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, *The Hobbit*.

Glóin, son of Gróin, was one of the twelve dwarves who accompanied Thorin Oakenshield on his journey to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. He was known for his strength and for his skill in making fires.

Years later, Glóin represented the Dwarves of Erebor at the Council of Rivendell, as depicted in *The Lord of the Rings*. He journeyed to Rivendell to seek counsel from Elrond regarding the disturbing news about Mordor and the increasing influence of Sauron. During the council, he spoke of the troubles facing the Dwarves and the importance of protecting their heritage.

Gloin is a LEGO minifigure featured in The Lord of the Rings theme, specifically in the set containing the Council of Elrond. The set depicts the Council of Rivendell.
