Brook is a fictional character from the Japanese manga series One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. He first appears in chapter 489 of the manga and episode 381 of the anime.

Brook is the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates. He's a skeletal undead being animated by the power of the Yomi Yomi no Mi (Revive-Revive Fruit), a Devil Fruit that granted him a second life after his death. His epithet is "Soul King" Brook.

Before his death, Brook was a member of the Rumbar Pirates. After they were wiped out, Brook spent decades alone as a soul searching for his body, which had decayed into a skeleton. Eventually, he reunited with it, becoming the skeleton he is known as.

Brook is a skilled swordsman and musician. His musical abilities are enhanced by his Devil Fruit powers, allowing him to create illusions and even affect the emotions of others with his music. He is known for his signature laugh, "Yohohoho!"
