Tony Tony Chopper is a doctor and a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a human hybrid or a human at will. He is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, serving as their doctor.

Chopper first appeared in the One Piece manga in Chapter 141, titled "Drum Island". He initially lived on Drum Island, distrusted by humans due to his reindeer appearance and ostracized by reindeer due to his blue nose. He was eventually taken in and taught medicine by Dr. Hiriluk, who he considered his father figure.

Chopper is known for his naive and childlike personality, as well as his incredible medical knowledge and skills. He is often seen acting as the Straw Hat crew's emergency physician, patching up injuries and treating illnesses. Despite his combat abilities and Devil Fruit powers, he generally prefers to avoid fighting. He is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and is a skilled user of his Devil Fruit powers to change form.
