Biography:
Prince Adam, the Beast, is the central male character in Disney's animated film, Beauty and the Beast. Condemned by an enchantress for his arrogance and lack of compassion, he was transformed into a monstrous creature, and his castle staff into household objects.
The spell can only be broken if the Beast learns to love and is loved in return before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose. Imprisoned within his castle, Adam becomes isolated and increasingly bitter.
His life takes a turn when Belle, a young woman from a nearby village, offers herself as a prisoner in exchange for her father's freedom. Initially gruff and intimidating, the Beast slowly begins to show a capacity for kindness and empathy as he spends time with Belle.
Through their shared experiences, and the patient encouragement of his enchanted staff, the Beast undergoes a significant transformation. He learns the importance of inner beauty and selflessness. Ultimately, Belle's love breaks the enchantress's spell, restoring Adam to his human form.
