Anti-Venom is a Marvel Comics character, originating as a mutated version of the Venom symbiote.
Eddie Brock, formerly the Venom host, was cured of cancer by Martin Li, also known as Mister Negative. This healing inadvertently altered the remnants of the Venom symbiote still present in Brock's white blood cells.
When Venom later attempted to bond with Brock again, the altered symbiote remnants reacted, creating a new, powerful symbiote with drastically different properties: Anti-Venom. This symbiote is white in color, visually opposite to Venom.
Anti-Venom possesses healing abilities far exceeding Venom, and can even cure diseases and remove other symbiotes. However, these abilities are taxing and can weaken Brock. The symbiote's powers are also disruptive to other symbiotes and even Spider-Man's powers due to their origin.
Throughout his history, Anti-Venom has been both a hero and a more morally ambiguous figure, depending on the circumstances and the writer's interpretation of the character's motivations.
