Biography:

Master Roshi, also known as the Turtle Hermit, is a central character in the Dragon Ball franchise. He is a wise and perverted martial arts master, and the first martial arts teacher of Goku and Krillin.

He lives on a small island with his turtle, Umigame. Despite his lecherous tendencies, Roshi is a powerful and respected fighter, known for his signature Kamehameha wave technique, which he invented.

Master Roshi first appeared in Dragon Ball chapter 3, "The Nimbus Cloud of Roshi," where he gifted Goku the Flying Nimbus.

In Dragon Ball Z, while less active in direct combat, Roshi remains an important mentor and advisor to the Z Fighters.
