Padmé Naberrie, portrayed by Natalie Portman, is a prominent character in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. She first appears in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Born on Naboo, Padmé rose to political prominence at a young age. She was elected Queen Amidala of Naboo, a position she held with grace and a strong commitment to her people, advocating for peaceful solutions even when faced with the Trade Federation's blockade.

After her time as queen, she transitioned to serving as a Senator for Naboo in the Galactic Republic. As a senator, Padmé was a vocal proponent of diplomacy and sought to resolve conflicts through negotiation, often clashing with more hawkish members of the Senate.

Beyond her political life, Padmé is known for her courage and strong moral compass, and her secret marriage to Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. She tragically dies during childbirth, leaving behind her twins, Luke and Leia.
