Padmé Naberrie, later known as Queen Amidala, was the elected ruler of Naboo in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Ascending to the throne at a young age, she advocated for peace and diplomacy but was forced to confront the Trade Federation's blockade of her planet.

Driven by a sense of duty to her people, Amidala disguised herself as a handmaiden to better understand their plight. Her decoy, Sabe, would act as the Queen, allowing Padmé to move more freely and safely. This duality became a key aspect of her character, reflecting her commitment and resourcefulness.

Her reign was marked by significant political turmoil and escalating conflict within the Republic. During the Invasion of Naboo, she formed an alliance with the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, seeking assistance from the Galactic Senate. Her relationship with Anakin Skywalker began during this time, a connection that would shape both their destinies and the galaxy's fate.

Following her time as Queen, she served as a Senator for Naboo, continuing her fight for peace and opposing the growing Separatist movement. She tragically died shortly after giving birth to twins, Luke and Leia Skywalker, her death attributed to unknown causes, though heavily implied to be related to her broken heart.
