Son Goku, often simply referred to as Goku, is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise. He first appeared in the Dragon Ball manga, created by Akira Toriyama, in 1984.

Goku is a Saiyan, an extraterrestrial warrior race known for their immense power and love of fighting. He was sent to Earth as a baby to conquer the planet, but a head injury caused him to lose his memories and develop a pure heart.

Throughout the Dragon Ball series, Goku dedicates himself to becoming stronger. He masters various martial arts techniques, including the Kamehameha, and constantly seeks out powerful opponents to test his abilities.
