The Mouth of Sauron is a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, specifically The Lord of the Rings. He is Sauron's lieutenant and herald, a human who entered Sauron's service and rose to a high position in the Dark Lord's hierarchy. His real name is unknown, and he is only ever referred to as the Mouth of Sauron.
He first appears before the Black Gate of Mordor to parley with Aragorn, Gandalf, and the other leaders of the Host of the West.
