Mary Bromfield, also known as Mary Marvel, is a prominent character in the DC Universe, particularly within the Shazam! family. Originally Mary Batson, she is the twin sister of Billy Batson, who becomes the hero Shazam!

Separated at a young age, Mary is eventually reunited with Billy and learns of their shared origin. When Billy transforms into Shazam, Mary gains similar powers by speaking the same magic word. This transformation grants her superhuman strength, speed, flight, and invulnerability, among other abilities. She adopts the superhero identity of Mary Marvel, sometimes also referred to as Lady Shazam.
