Yusuke Urameshi is the protagonist of the popular anime and manga series, Yu Yu Hakusho. Initially a teenage delinquent known for skipping school and getting into fights, Yusuke performs an act of unexpected selflessness by saving a young child from a speeding car, resulting in his own death.

This act earns him a chance at resurrection, but not without undertaking a series of trials presented by Koenma, the son of King Yama of the Spirit World. Through these trials, Yusuke evolves from a self-centered troublemaker into a Spirit Detective, tasked with investigating supernatural occurrences in the human world.

As Spirit Detective, Yusuke gains powerful spiritual abilities, most notably the Spirit Gun, a concentrated blast of spiritual energy fired from his fingertip. He teams up with his friends Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei, each possessing unique abilities, to combat demons and protect the human world from supernatural threats. Throughout the series, Yusuke matures, honing his skills, strengthening his bonds, and ultimately becoming a powerful force for good.
