Clara Oswald is a fictional character portrayed by Jenna Coleman in the long-running BBC science fiction television program, Doctor Who. Her first appearance was in the Series #4 episode "Asylum of the Daleks" (2012), though this incarnation was presented as a separate character named Oswin Oswald.

The central mystery of Clara's character revolved around her seemingly impossible appearances throughout the Doctor's timeline, leading to the moniker "The Impossible Girl." She is eventually revealed to be fragmented across the Doctor's timeline after entering his timestream to save him from the Great Intelligence. Each of these fragmented versions assisted the Doctor without knowing their true purpose.

Clara served as a companion to the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors, played by Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi respectively. Her storylines often explored themes of control, heroism, and the blurring lines between right and wrong. Her relationship with the Doctor was complex, evolving from a playful dynamic to a deep, sometimes fraught, connection.
