Amelia "Amy" Pond, portrayed by Karen Gillan, is a fictional companion of the Eleventh Doctor in the British science fiction television program Doctor Who. One of her notable appearances features her in a police uniform, a costume she dons for playful roleplay with the Doctor in the episode "The Eleventh Hour".

Amy first meets the Doctor as a child in 1996, after he crash-lands in her garden. He promises to return, but arrives twelve years later. This delay causes her to become the "girl who waited," developing a complicated relationship with the Doctor and a somewhat skeptical, independent personality.
