Karl Mordo, also known as Baron Mordo, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) seen in Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

This version of Mordo is from Earth-838. He serves as the Sorcerer Supreme of that reality, having inherited the position after the death of that universe's Doctor Strange. He is a member of the Illuminati, a council dedicated to protecting Earth-838.

This variant of Mordo mistrusts Doctor Strange and sees him as a threat to the multiverse, referencing past events where Strange violated natural laws and caused catastrophic incursions across the multiverse.

His first appearance in the MCU (although not in Earth-838) was in the 2016 movie, Doctor Strange, where he was a Master of the Mystic Arts and an ally to Doctor Strange.
