Biography:
Jake Sully (Na'vi), portrayed by Sam Worthington, is the protagonist of James Cameron's *Avatar* film franchise.
He first appears in the 2009 film, *Avatar*, as a paraplegic former Marine who is recruited to the Avatar Program. This program allows him to remotely control a genetically engineered Na'vi body, enabling him to navigate the alien world of Pandora and infiltrate the Na'vi people.
Over the course of the film, Sully grows to respect and eventually embrace the Na'vi culture, falling in love with Neytiri and becoming a skilled warrior. He eventually becomes Toruk Makto, a legendary figure who unites the Na'vi clans to fight against the Resources Development Administration (RDA) invasion. His story continues in *Avatar: The Way of Water*.
